The backstory

Several years ago when I was getting into nomad life, there were a few social media accounts I followed who would share and promote profiles of different folks, especially LGBT and POC vanlifers. It’s how I learned about a lot of cool people.

Since then, social media has become a place with a scarcity mindset and there seems to be a lack of community. Everyone is out trying to monetize their content and as a result, it’s a “what’s in it for me” mindset, instead of a “hey check out this cool person and what they’re doing” mindset.

I want to change that. I want to share all the cool things people are doing out on the road. Without an expectation of anything in return. I want to do this because it’s fun, I want to support my community, and I want to showcase cool people.

I decided to try this out as a creative project to highlight the queers of vanlife. If you’re a part of the alphabet mafia, you live on the road in a van, a car, a truck, an RV, a school bus or pretty much anything else, I want to hear your story! Link to the Google form is here.

Stories will be featured on this website, as well as social media like Instagram and Substack.

Thank you for coming along on this journey!
